About the Blog

Because:

  • Everyone’s story can move the Christian church forward.
  • But only if every story is heard, edited and revised.

Why:

  • Pastors and members of traditional American churches are either alarmed, angry, puzzled or else unaware of the new questions being asked today.
  • Those who are asking may give up too soon.

What:

  • It assumes that the best answers can only come from the right questions and both depend upon a constructive conversation.
  • It offers a few answers about God, Christianity and the Bible.
  • But first it is the search for the right questions about God, Christianity and the Bible.
  • Mostly, it is a conversation.

A little about me:

  • I like the new questions, but I do not agree with all the new answers.
  • I like some of our old answers, but I’m not sure we know all the right questions.
  • I’m trying to write “how to” titles so you will read the blogs; it doesn’t mean I have the answers.
  • You will be the judge but I think my gift is not so much having good answers as much as asking good questions.

Brother….you are not alone. There are a lot of us out here, asking questions and seeking answers to many of the things that we were “force fed” over the years. One of my favorite personal quips is–”God is bigger than we’ve ever allowed Him to be”….and I guess that could be posed as a Question, and could also be an Answer.

Thanks Wayne, I just started this project. I hope it will help us reconnect with people from our past and hopefully find some new friends. I hope you’ll “join the conversation.”
